Peradon Newbury 3/4 jointed Snooker cue.
This full size (58 inch) cue is crafted by Peradon in England. The cue features the patented pro-line maple shaft which is cut using patented technology in order to release the tension from the timbers before being laminated with walnut inlays to produce a shaft with minimal deflection . The shaft is then carefully turned and spliced to the finest Ebony butt timber.
The cue is then turned to its final tapered finish before the numerous sanding and finishing processes are undertaken. This is carried out in order to achieve a ‘silk smooth’ finish Also, the cue’s evenly spaced chevrons and uniform lines gives a great advantage to players who use the shaft grain as a visual aid.
To eliminate joint problems the two sections of the ‘quick action’ joint are each precisely turned from a single piece of solid brass and fitted to ensure precise alignment of the grain either side of the brass collar. The 3/4 joint it is precisely fitted 16” from the butt end to give the shaft length of 42”.
The butt is finished with a Peradon Newbury name disc and ‘quick action’ butt end joint. This allows the cue to accept the optional extensions available on this site.
Extensions may be fitted into either the ¾ joint in the cue or into the butt end joint.
This cue features a solid brass ferrule and 9 ½ to 10mm Elkmaster tip.
Cue Care
Although the cue still needs some cue care the “Pro-line shaft” is more resistant to warping than the average cue.
Finally, to ensure the cue remains in perfect condition for every game follow these simple guidelines:
- Store your cue in a cue case in a cool, dry place or on a cue rack.
- Keep your cue away from heat i.e. radiators/ hot pipes/ hot vehicles.
- Do not lean your cue against a wall.
- Refrain from leaning on your cue whilst playing.
- Do not bang the butt of cue on the floor to acknowledge good strokes.
Furthermore, whilst purchasing a new cue we can change the tip for one more suited to your liking with no extra cost added.
